Cassandra Forsythe,
PhD, CSCS, CISSN
Dr Forsythe is a graduate of Exercise Science and Nutrition from the #1
Kinesiology doctoral program in the U.S at the University of Connecticut (2009).
Her research specialty is low-carbohydrate ketogenic diets, dietary fatty acids,
resistance training, and their relationships to diabetes, heart disease and body
composition.

She
also holds a M.S. in Human Nutrition and Metabolism and a B.S. in Nutrition and
Food Science from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. With her
certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a Certified
Sports Nutritionist (CISSN), Cassandra coaches women of all ages and sports at
her personal training studio in Connecticut, or online, to attain their athletic
and body composition goals.
Dr. Forsythe is a well-known author. She has authored two popular books for
women: “The New Rules of Lifting for Women”, co-authored with Lou Schuler and
Alwyn Cosgrove (2008), and “Women’s Health Perfect Body Diet” (2008); in
addition to two textbook chapters: “Creatine Metabolism”, from Essentials of
Creatine in Sport (2007), and “Very Low-Carbohydrate Diets” , from Essentials of
Sports Nutrition (2008), and numerous online and peer-reviewed nutrition and
exercise articles.
Currently she is studying for her Registered Dietitian Exam scheduled for
September 2009.
